Practical AI

Use AI for a task you can check.

Start with one task, agree on the information AI can use, and decide who checks the result. I help set it up, test it, and show you how to run it. Sometimes a clearer process or a feature you already have is the better answer.

Before choosing a tool

First ask whether AI belongs in the task.

  1. Question

    Is the input allowed?

Name the information the workflow can use and what must stay out.

  2. Question

Can a person check the output?

Assign review before the result affects a customer or business decision.

  3. Question

Can the team keep working without it?

Write down a manual route for unavailable, uncertain, or incorrect output.

Draft follow-up out

Person reviews before sending

Let AI draft. Let a person decide.

AI could draft a follow-up from approved notes. A person checks the facts, tone, and private information before deciding whether to send it.

Illustrative example using fictional job notes.

Useful when the task and review are both clear.

A good fit

  • A repetitive drafting, sorting, or preparation task.
  • Approved source information and someone responsible for review.
  • A team willing to test uncertain output and maintain a fallback.

Not the right fit

  • A request to remove human responsibility from consequential decisions.
  • An undefined promise to “add AI everywhere.”
  • Medical, legal, insurance, financial, or other specialized regulated-data work.

Keep control

Questions before AI touches the work.

Does every systems project need AI?

No. A clearer process or a feature in software you already use may be simpler and more reliable. AI is considered only when it fits the task and its review needs.

Can AI send work without review?

That depends on the consequence and information involved, but the launch approach keeps people responsible for private information and consequential decisions. Review and approval points are agreed before implementation.

Which industries are excluded?

Medical, legal, insurance, financial, and other work requiring specialized regulated-data handling is outside the initial scope.
